Our Story

1993 to India:
the long way home

How a formulation bench in America became six brands across the Gulf, Africa and Asia — and why the newest chapter is being written in India.

Dutch & Habro began in 1993 as a consumer-centric maker of fast-moving consumer goods, household insecticides and industry chemicals, growing from its American home base into a six-brand group sold in 20+ countries. Its products are developed to the standards that lead world markets, and the group is now bringing that range to India through a nationwide distributor network.

The formulation bench

Dutch & Habro Consumer Products comes to life in the USA — an ISO-certified import/export house built around one idea: research products thoroughly enough that an ordinary household can solve its own problem. Advanced research and development is the company's foundation from the first year.

2000s

Brands, not batches

Goodbye takes the pest-control shelf; Habro, Lovaire, Caesars, Podo and Gardenz follow — each brand owning one everyday problem instead of one product chasing many. Alongside them run the wider lines the group has always made: fire extinguishers, soaps and shoe polish, air fresheners, dishwash bars, toilet sanitisers and steel wool.

2010s

Wings across four regions

The company spreads from its home base in the USA to the GCC — opening its regional office in the UAE — and on into China and Africa. ISO 9001 certification standardises quality across every market, and Indian travellers keep bringing the products home in suitcases.

Now

Now in India

The same world-market formulations, Indian MRPs and pack sizes, and a distribution network being built across every state. That network is the next chapter — and this website recruits it.

The Idea We Kept

"DIY Technology" — what it means here

Every product we make is designed so an ordinary household can solve the problem without calling a service company: a gel a homemaker can apply in two minutes, a trap a shopkeeper can place before closing, a spray that works without a technician. In a market as vast as India, self-serve efficacy is not a slogan — it is the only model that scales to every kirana in every district.

Key Strengths

What the company
is actually built on

Dutch & Habro turns challenges into opportunities by working on four things continuously — its people, its relationships, its processes and its facilities. Everything the trade sees downstream rests on these.

01

People

The strongest pillar. A mix of fresh talent and an experienced pool of research and production personnel — the reason a formulation improves between one batch and the next.

02

Relationships

A transparent, honest approach to employees, suppliers, vendors and consumers. For a distributor, that is the difference between a supplier and a partner.

03

Processes & logistics

An idea only becomes an achievement through a process that holds. A well-integrated supply chain delivers in time to international markets — one of the most critical parts of this business.

04

Facilities

Production facilities that match world benchmarks, supported by modern IT infrastructure — the base the other three strengths stand on.

Social Responsibility

A journey of a thousand miles
begins with the first step

Corporate social responsibility has been part of the Dutch & Habro business model from the beginning, not a commitment bolted on afterwards. The group has set up schools, learning centres and health services in the communities it works in, run by a dedicated team under the management's direction.

The belief behind it is simple: the crux of social responsibility is fulfilling your own job properly, not showcasing charitable deeds. Profits sustain only as long as they are also used for social and environmental benefit — so employees are encouraged to contribute to their environment individually and collectively.

The same principle governs how the company markets itself. Truthful, realistic claims about what a product does, in every market — which is why the range travels between them without being rewritten.
